One case, real numbers

What actually happened at Garage Door Pros.

Every figure on this page came straight out of our own systems, with the dates attached and the raw numbers printed beside every headline one. Where a headline figure is rounded, the exact pair it came from is right under it. This is the first case we can show. More go up here as they finish.

Google Search Console, our verified property

Three numbers, one comparison window.

25 May to 19 Jul 2026 against 20 Jul to 13 Sep 2026, on garagefl.com.

Clicks from Google search +91% 66 to 126 over the eight weeks
Impressions +30% 68,373 to 88,854
Average position up 9 places 31.4 to 22.6, and on this one a lower number is better

The case

Garage Door Pros, garagefl.com.

A garage door repair company in Broward County, Florida. Continuous work started 9 June 2026.

What was wrong

A real business that Google could barely place.

Garage Door Pros answers real calls in Broward County, but its online presence had drifted: the site itself needed a full pass, the listing had not been actively managed, and, as it turned out, part of the listing was pointing Google somewhere else entirely. None of that shows up as a single dramatic outage. It shows up as a business that is quietly harder to find than it should be.

The numbers above are Google's own Search Console data for garagefl.com, comparing those two eight-week windows on the property we verify and read directly. We did not touch the review count or the profile's own search stats to build this page, for reasons the last section on this page explains.

    Review replies begin.

The human part

The pin was 235 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico.

Garage Door Pros' Google Business Profile listed a service area called Miramar Beach, in the Florida panhandle, 474 miles from Broward County. Not the Miramar next door. That single entry dragged Google's own computed pin out into the Gulf of Mexico, away from every real customer.

It was found and removed on 6 September 2026. Nobody had been looking at that field. It is exactly the kind of thing that can sit unnoticed for years.

Why a service area matters

One wrong town can move the pin Google computes for the whole business.

Checking every service area against the real map is part of the listing work on this account, not a one-time fix.

Second result, our own geo-grid

More of the map turned in our favour.

We run our own 15 by 15 grid, 225 real points spread across Broward County, and check where the business ranks for “garage door repair near me” at each one.

The honest part: measurement paused for most of a month between these two windows, and we moved the grid's centre point once in that gap. So this is a direction, not a clean before and after, and we would rather say that plainly than let the chart claim more than it can prove.

Share of the 225 points ranking in the top three

10 to 16 July 2026
28.3%
16 to 20 September 2026, its highest measured level
37.3%
Keyword: garage door repair near me. Measurement paused for most of a month in between, and the grid centre moved once, so treat this as direction rather than a controlled before and after.

How we measure

Which tool produced which number.

Said plainly, because a results page that hides its own method is not worth reading.

Search Console, for the search numbers

Clicks, impressions and average position come from Google Search Console, on a property we verify ourselves, comparing one eight-week window against the eight weeks before it.

Our own grid, for the map numbers

225 real points across Broward County, checked for one search term, tracked over time.

A gap gets published, not smoothed over

When tracking pauses or a tool changes, that shows up on the page next to the number, the way it does above.

Results vary

One business, one market, one starting point. What moved here is not a promise of what moves for the next one.
